Documentation/SME Review
Some questions need a specific person — legal, security, or engineering — not another SE. SME Review lets you route those questions to the right expert directly, and get back an answer you can trust rather than a guess routed through three people.
From a questionnaire's review session, select the answer (or answers) that need expert input and choose Request SME review. You can:
The expert receives an email with a link — no CoTeam account required, ever.
Opening the link takes them to a dedicated review page, not a login screen:
The expert is never starting from a blank page, but they're also never asked to just rubber-stamp an AI guess — the draft and their own answer are kept visibly distinct.
SME review links expire 5 days after they're sent. This keeps stale requests from lingering indefinitely. If a link expires before the expert responds, the SE who sent it can simply request again.
Once the expert submits their answer, it flows back into the questionnaire's review session just like any other answer — and it's saved to your knowledge base as a correction, so the next question on that topic is answered automatically without needing to go back to that expert again.
This is part of the same flywheel described in Confidence Scoring & Gap Detection — an SME's expertise, once captured, compounds the same way an SE's edits do.
